Booking Information:
1. Hire rates quoted include
- VAT (17.5%).
- Unlimited miles.
- UK standard vehicle insurance*.
- UK Standard equipment & breakdown.
*Insurance loading. In some cases, Lazee Dayz will incur additional charges if the driver to be insured has a traffic conviction, is using a non-UK driving license or is in an occupation which is deemed high risk. These charges will be passed onto the customers.
2. Insurance
Standard excess. The above rate includes a standard excess of GB£1000.00. In the event of any damage to either the vehicle or third party property, the hirer will be liable for the first GB£1000.00. The hirer will also be fully liable for replacement or repair of windscreen or tyre damage.
3. Security Deposit
There is a refundable GB£1000.00 Security Deposit payable on pick up day or in advance, by pre-authorised credit card or cash. This is fully refundable on return of the vehicle to the agreed location, on the agreed date and time, in the same condition as it was let out to you, with the toilet empty, the interior clean including all cooking appliances and the tank full of fuel and no reported damage inside or outside.
NOTE: the £1000.00 security deposit will be used to fund any loss or damage what so ever to equipment, fixtures and fittings or negligent damage to the vehicle.
4. European Travel
There is an additional charge of £15 per day for European travel to cover European roadside assistance.
5. Ireland Travel
There is an additional charge of £7.50 per day for travel to Ireland to cover Irish roadside assistance.
6. Extras
- Bedding (quilt/pillow/towel) £20.00 per person (per rental).
- Additional driver (UK only): £4.00 per person per day, clean driving licence (max 3).
- Additional driver (Europe): £8.00 per person per day, clean driving licence (max 3).
- Points on license :( £1.50 - £10.00) per day. Depending on number & type of points.
- Non UK driver's license holder: £8.00 per day (£35.00pw).
- Airport to depot transfer: (for up to 4 people) - Price on Request.
7. Minimum Hire
This ranges from 4 to 7 days depending on the season. Please check with Lazee Dayz at time of booking.
8. Drivers
- Age limits: 25 to 70 years. Driver must have held a valid license for more than 1 year.
- Details of additional drivers required.
- Production of valid standard driver's license required from all drivers at start of hire.
- Drivers are personally liable for all legal penalties (eg: parking tickets) which are incurred during the period of hire.
- Maximum of 3 drivers per rental.
- Drivers must provide 2 separate forms of identification. i.e. credit card and passport.
9. Depot
Our depot is located at - TDG Business & Storage Park, Cat & Fiddle Lane, West Hallam, Derby, DE7 6HE.
10. Depot hours
- Monday to Saturday: 08.00 hrs - 18.00 hrs. Peak Season
- Monday to Friday : 10.00 hrs - 16.00 hrs. Off Peak
- Saturday : 09.00 hrs - Noon. Off peak
- Public holidays: closed, unless by prior arrangement.
11. One ways
Not permitted.
12. Payment
Availability is on a request and confirm basis at the time of reservation. A reservation is only binding after it has been confirmed by Lazee Dayz and a down payment of £250.00 per rental week has been received. Once the reservation is confirmed, a confirmation letter will be e-mailed to you. Settlement of the remaining balance will be due six weeks prior to departure.
Payment is by credit card (Visa or MasterCard), debit cards or cheque in Pounds Sterling.
For late bookings (less than six weeks before departure) the full rental price is payable on booking. Vehicles will not be released without full payment being completed. Cheques will not be acceptable for late bookings (less than 2 weeks prior to departure).
13. Credit Cards
Most major credit cards accepted - 2.5% additional charge.
14. Cancellation charges
- More than 6 weeks before: £250 (Booking Deposit).
- 6 weeks - 2 weeks: 50% of total hire charge.
- 2 weeks - No Show: 100% of total hire charge.
15. Collection & Return
Please allow 1 hour for the hand-over at the depot - to complete the documentation and demonstrate your vehicle to you. Please allow 20 minutes on your return. Return: The vehicle must be returned on the date, and before the time stated, on the rental agreement. Vehicles must be returned clean and in the same condition as they leave the depot, otherwise a charge will be made (includes a separate toilet cleaning fee, if the toilet waste tank is not empty on return, £100) Late return: If you will be late returning, the rental company must be advised immediately. Failure to advise may result in prosecution for driving whilst uninsured. An additional charge of £100 per hour will be payable for all late returns.
